NACC Representative: David W. Springer, Ph.D.

Representative Bio: David Springer is the Director of the RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service in the LBJ School of Public
Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin. He is a University Distinguished Teaching Professor at UT‐Austin, and holds joint faculty
appointments in the the LBJ School, Social Work, and Psychology. He began his professional career as a clinical social worker in
community and school‐based settings working with adolescents and their families. In recent years, his work has focused on the reform
of juvenile justice systems and the delivery of effective community‐based services with youth in the United States and Latin America.
His work spans across direct practice, community building, nonprofit management, system reform, research, and leadership. In 2016,
he was named a Top 50 Influencer in the nonprofit sector by the NonProfit Times, and was recognized as a Distinguished Alumni in
Social Policy and Administration by his alma mater, the Florida State University College of Social Work.
